I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

I am now reading one of the new books in the Teen Room, I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga.
I was intrigued by the concept of the main character being the son of a serial killer and drawn in by the following praise of the book by Joe Hill, author of Horns and Heart-Shaped Box (which was a creepy read!):

"I Hunt Killers is an out-of-control hearse with one busted head-light, blood on the grille, a madman at the wheel and laughter pouring out of the open windows.  Climb in, buckle up, and go for a ride.  It's the best thing in YA fiction since The Hunger Games."

Here's the blurb from the back of the book:
What if the world's worst serial killer...was your dad?

Jasper (Jazz) Dent is a likable teenager. A charmer, one might say.

But he's also the son of the world's most infamous serial killer, and for Dear Old Dad, Take Your Son to Work Day was year-round. Jazz has witnessed crime scenes the way cops wish they could--from the criminal's point of view.

And now bodies are piling up in Lobo's Nod.

In an effort to clear his name, Jazz joins the police in a hunt for a new serial killer. But Jazz has a secret--could he be more like his father than anyone knows?

This book has sucked me right in and I want to keep reading, but can't read it too close to bedtime!
I love the inner struggle of the main character, Jazz and can't wait to find out which side of his inner self will win out....good or evil!

Divergent by Veronica Roth

I just finished reading Divergent by Veronica Roth.  If you like action-packed, dystopian books with a little romance thrown in, then you just might like this one.  I saw it on a "if you liked The Hunger Games, then try reading..."  list.  I like the concept of the different factions and how life is different in each one.   I think I would fit best in Abnegation.  What about you?   I'm looking forward to the second book, Insurgent.
